It'll be available from lulu.com and I'll try to get it into Amazon and other outlets too. Price will be somewhere between 15 and 20 dollars.

Irish English!

Though I'm not Irish myself, I love everything Irish, including the wonderful Irish accent! I am an undergraduate linguistics student at McGill University, and I'm looking for participants for a study on Irish English (Hiberno-English). So if you're Irish (or you know anyone Irish) check it out! It only takes a few minutes to fill out and you can have fun laughing at my bad poetry! The only requirement is that you grew up in (or are growing up!) in Ireland. Thanks for your help!!

off the record, from @U2

One year on (and two weeks) from its original release, No Line on the Horizon deserves a review recap.

Many people have commented on recent U2 albums not having an "album" feel. This is because U2 makes albums much differently now than they did 10 years ago. The U2 album process is a much lengthier affair,

U2 call rural craftsman to repair broken Grammy

A rural craftsman was amazed when international rock stars U2 phoned him and asked him to repair their broken Grammy award.

The trophy -- awarded for the band's 1987 album The Joshua Tree -- had split into three pieces including the gramophone horn. So the band's managers simply searched "trophy craftsmen" online and found Stuart Allcock, who runs a small shop in Taunton, Somerset.

Mr. Allcock said he felt "dizzy" to receive the call but was disappointed to discover the award was made of cheap cast iron that was sprayed gold.

The lifelong U2 fan, who went to a Joshua Tree gig in 1987 and another in 2001, said:

A half hour or so ago, LMV got up to go to the bathroom. When she returned, she found IzzyKitty laying on the loveseat, exactly where LMV had been sitting. She picked her up and held her.

A few minutes later, LMV went into the kitchen to get some water. A two minute trip. She comes back and has to pick up IzzyKitty as the cat is laying exactly where she was sitting, again.

LMV just got up from the loveseat to put in a dvd. She wasn't up for more than a minute. When she went to sit back down, she discovered that IzzyKitty had jumped up and laid down exactly where she'd been sitting. Yet again. (A theme for the day, in case it's not obvious by now.) She picked her up and held the kitty so she could look in her eyes. "Christo," LMV said.

IzzyKitty, as it turns out, is not possessed by a demon.

U2 fan's joy after getting job to fix band's Grammy

How cool must that have been? I'm surprised they even bothered getting it fixed, they have enough of the things! Wonder who dropped it, LOL.

Today should be a national holiday, but I guess since it's Saturday, it works out the same.

I've slept a lot today, but it's been good sleep. Maybe just posting about the trouble I was having helped? After making that post last night, I went to bed and slept a solid ten hours. No bad dreams. Then, this afternoon I laid down for a nap and ended up sleeping for 6 hours. More good sleep. I woke up at 7pm, shocked that I'd slept that long. I apologized to the kids and the boy said "It's okay, Mom. We thought you needed the sleep."

I love them.

I had other things I wanted to say, but I forgot them. That's nothing new ;)
