Bono - 2 July 2011, Nashville TNHow is it that I'm more nervous about doing Red Zone in St. Louis next week than I am about doing GA for any other show? That doesn't make a bit of sense. I should be all - Oh this is going to be easy, piece of cake- but I'm not. Weird.
that is seriously some kind of beautiful.do you have to run for seats in the red zone, or are they assigned.*looking for potential drama for you*
He is. Well... from the email they give us numbers but there are no seats, so it's sort of a GA, but not THE GA. I think it's just a first come/serve sort of thing as to where you stand. Which gives me no direction of when to actually get there or what to do. Box office opens at 9am... so confusing! Definitely over-thinking the whole thing!I have a mind to start a line. *delusions of RED ZONE line nazi glory*
so they gave you numbers? hmmmmm.if you get there at 4 am, you are numero uno baybee. then you get multiple sharpies, a bunch of notebooks and keep changing clothes.%por not.
For what it's worth, when I did red zone I got there at midday to hang out with everyone else in GA, and no one turned up at all until, like, 4.30pm for Red Zone. Probably it'll be a bit more nuts in the US, though. So I'd say probably play it a bit safe, and then check in with the venue as to where they're lining y ou up, because our venue had NO CLUE and also forgot to LET US IN when they opened the doors. well done guys. good work. i actually went in WITH regular GA in the end cos I got frustrated, and just walked around the long way and still beat everyone waiting for the gate to be unlocked. /terrible (But hey, I was absolutely there first anyway, so WHATEVER.)Also, my advice would be to get as close along the rail running beside the catwalk to the leg between You and the Main Pit, because that's definitely the best viewing angle. Lotta people went closer to the main stage, but I think that made it harder to see the catwalks and also a worse angle overall. <3333Have alllllllll the fun bb!
YOU! It's worth a LOT. I'm so confused by it all, because I guess I'm so used to GA standard operating procedure!I figured I'll get over there early afternoon. My mom is going with so I don't think I can have her out in the heat of the day, but I'd like to secure a good spot. And thanks for the back-up on where to stand. I've been sussing the Red Zones at each show and I reckoned the best place was near the outer claw leg, close as you can get to that so that's my target. I'm really hoping people in there are more casual fans and won't have 'a plan' ... but you never know. WISH I COULD SEE YOU!So much <3And I AM having on ALL the fun on this tour. Amazing so far!!!
Hiii you! And yeah, I was also all "okay I did this cos it was gonna be 'easier' but I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!" and then stressed about it, hah.)And ahh, I see. That makes sense, yes.And no worries - I think your instincts are spot on. I had a great time there, anyhow. And mostly it was casual fans around me, although of course (of course) I wound up standing RIGHT next to one of Our People who, you know, knows our people. *g*Wish I could see youuuuuuu!<333
That's an amazing photo.
